Special Silver Jubilee Awards Programme for 2010
To mark our Silver Jubilee we are doing something special in 2010 - in addition to the popular Schools Award and Community Woodlands Award our Silver Jubilee Awards Programme will include a very special Silver Jubilee Prize!
Each award has top cash prizes of £500 and custody of a trophy for one year; runner-up prizes are £250.
The winners will be presented with their prizes on Friday, 25th June 2010 at the Royal Highland Show. Additional presentations can be made on site to the winners of the Tim Stead Trophy and Schools Award so that all those involved can join the celebrations.
And the awards for 2010 are....
To celebrate the 25th year of our awards programme we are inviting all the winners of the Hunter Blair Trophy for silvicultural excellence or the John Kennedy Trophy for multi-purpose woodlands from 1985 to 2009 to enter.
Our judges' task will be to find the 'champion of champions'!
Compete for the Tim Stead Trophy awarded to Scotland's best community or urban woodland project or a social project which involves people with their environment.
People from across Scotland work hard to support their local communities, our judges want to recognise their achievement!
The ever popular Schools Award is back and we are seeking out Scotland's most fun-packed school woodland projects.
So be sure to tell teacher and let the fun begin!
