1919 Forestry Act Centenary Award

About

Our judges’ task was to find and reward the pursuit of excellence! The competition was open to an established woodland or a forest of at least 0.5ha (1.24 acres) in area, located anywhere in Scotland that had been created in the past 100 years. There was a £1,000 cash prize available and a specially commissioned trophy to mark this important centenary. Both were awarded at the discretion of the judges. The winner also received a certificate and a commemorative wooden display plaque recording their achievement as did those entries the judges deemed worthy of special commendations. The winning woodland/forest owner and/or woodland/forest manager as well as those commended were presented with their prizes on Friday, 21st June 2019 at the Royal Highland Show at Ingliston.
